If it's the first time you experienced something like this, you see Kanojo open the door and walk into the bedroom, and you get this burst of anxiety/nervousness/shame/lust all balled into one leaving you not knowing which way to look. Hope that helps - apologies for the lack of detailed guidance for people who aren't of a technical disposition. It'll perform a large download which will take some time, but it should update correctly. Then run the InitSetting.exe program and tell it to update. Note that the path must escape its backslashes by using double-backslashes, e.g. exe so that the "INSTALLDIR" registry key refers to the directory where you've got the game installed (and then install the registry settings, of course). Third, the game will be able to self-update to V1.30 if you edit the "reg.reg" file that's in the same directory as the game. If someone could post back confirming or denying this, it would be helpful. WARNING: I suspect that doing this would probably break hacked non-VR use of the game, but as I have a Vive, I'm using it in VR and haven't tested that detail. Then the controllers appear as hands, and you can interact. Second, if you have the same control issue I did - where the controllers appear in VR as controllers, not as hands, and won't interact with anything - one solution is to quit and tell the game self-update to V1.30. I don't know if any other languages are supported. Where you see a line saying "0", change the 0 to a 1 (0=Japanese, 1=English) and save it. We appreciate the help and would love to know about your controllers so we can add the correct bindings to future releases of Arkio on Steam VR.I'm being brief, because I'm in a hurry to do something else, but hopefully this will still help:įirst, to change it all into English, go into the UserData directory within the installation directory, and edit the "setup.xml" file in Notepad or any other text editor. We'd also love to hear from our users who made suggestions/additions to any controller bindings on Steam VR so we can add them to the official release of Arkio. Once you are done and added all the above operations to the correct buttons you can save the controller bindings locally (for yourself and different configurations) and you can also help others in the community that have the same VR device by sharing these bindings with others. (there are only 2 Arkio inputs possible here so you cannot go wrong). Both of these inputs require a click and position operation. To assign a Joystick or Dpad you can use the top two categories. The "applicationmenu" buttons in Arkio are used for our Quick menu and duplicate operations and can be assigned to all the extra buttons that you have available next to your trigger and grip button. In the above preview, you can find all the correct controller buttons assigned to a WMR controller. Most of the operations in Arkio are driven by simple button operations so selecting "Button" would already give you a list of all the available Arkio operations with the correct name. New actions can be added to these buttons using the + symbol. On the left side, you see the various buttons available on your controller. You can uncheck mirror mode and press the add skeleton button to access this menu.Īfter you correctly assigned the left and right hands to the controllers you can close this menu and open the Arkio tab to assign the specific buttons for Arkio. We'd first need to add the missing skeletons to the correct left/right controller in the default tab. Then you select the correct controller you like to edit from the "current controller" list and create a new binding. To get started you open the controller binding menu following the first step in the Oculus Guide. You can fix this issue (and help others with the same device) by assigning the correct controllers bindings on Steam VR. If your controllers are not responding correctly in Steam VR and Arkio it might be caused by the controllers not yet being supported. This should fix issues while working with those controllers on SteamVR. To fix the controller mapping for your Oculus controller you can just activate the "Arkio Default Oculus Touch" controller bindings that Johan shared in the community. Here you can select Arkio, this will open a submenu where you can create your bindings or assign new ones from the community. You can find controller bindings by clicking on options>Devices>Controller Settings in the Steam VR dialog. If you are experiencing problems with Steam VR controller bindings you might be missing some headset drivers or using a VR headset that is not (yet) mapped to Arkio's operations.
